About Us
The Recreation & Beach Department provides residents and visitors with year-round programs and activities for various demographics and is responsible for managing all town beaches. In addition, the Department oversees activities on Snow's Field and the Truro Central Schools field. The department's main office is located at the Truro Community Center (7 Standish Way, North Truro) and consists of an administrative office, a recreation lounge, and an all-purpose auditorium. Additionally, the center is home to Puma Park Playground and the Council on Aging. The department's seasonal beach office is located at 3 Shore Road, North Truro.
Some youth programs include various sports (softball, basketball, soccer) and summer recreation programs. Adult programs include indoor sports (pickleball, volleyball, soccer), outdoor sports (summer beach volleyball), and fitness (yoga, Zumba).
