7/20 Vineyard Wind Debris Update:

Darrin Tangeman, Truro Town Manager, was notified by Vineyard Wind on Saturday, July 20, that they have been working on removing debris from the ocean this week after one of their turbine blades south of the Islands broke. Yesterday, Friday, July 19, they became aware of a debris field 2-3 miles south and east of Monomoy Island. They stated that it is possible some of the debris could wash ashore on Truro outer beaches in the coming days. The Town of Truro is notifying community members and staff. Vineyard Wind is also in touch with the Cape Cod National Seashore. If the public has any updates regarding the debris, you are encouraged to contact Katie Riconda, Communications Coordinator, as soon as possible via email kriconda@truro-ma.gov or by phone 774-722-9867. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
